Vireja was born into a poor peasant family at a small village called Beaufort which is nowadays only part of fairy tales and legends. Certainly it's not the best life - nevertheless it has its advantages. One's not involved in intrigue, doesn't have to present a status. She lived a simple but a happy live of an average young woman: Working with her mother; cooking for her family; dreaming about princes. Her village was raided and looted by a renegade soldier group during war. The villagers were either brutally murdered or raped before the soldiers started to eat them, yes, in wartime unscrupulous soldiers are doing strange things to the civilian population. Also Vireja was raped a couple of times and was the last one, waiting in a cage to be slaughtered like an animal where her prayers were answered and she shapeshifted for the first time. Apparently, 5 soldiers tried to keep the cage door closed but actually one neither knows whether the scary tales are true nor what's been inside of this cage. Only bursted metal grids were found as though they had been blown up. One did not find corpses either, just a bloody village full of human parts, shredded armor and scattered bowels.The only mutilated survivor stammered something about black eyes before he died. The incident of Beaufort as well as Virejas tale or her appearance are just horror tales. Nobody knows the truth, few people know real details. Vireja's some strange variety of vampire - actually she's pretty small, chubby and cute and, like a werewolf, she can't controle her transformation. Since her black magic 'deal' she's addicted to human blood and like a shark, she smells it for miles. She's the cook of the gang brewing powerful potions, broths, soups and whatever else you can do with people. Actually, she can not defend herself at all unless she tastes blood. For her, the effect is like a mixture of coke, heroin and MDMA. Once in bloodlust she transforms into her 'vampire'-being.. but not the scary-romantic 'I'll bite your neck and suck your blood'-vampire; more the 'They will have to puzzle together what is left of you'-vampire.
