January Jessell arrived at Maxs door virtually unannounced armed with a note from her mother and a battered suitcase. With a love of soccer and jazz and not much else her mother thought she was turning into a 21st century slacker and that working at Maxcorps might help her get on in life. This did not turn out as planned, with no room in any of his apartments Max had her move in with him where she infuriated him with her untidy ways and habit of losing her socks in various places around the house. Nil Desperandum, Max found her some gainful if not particularly well paid work as the Rough Guide Girl who worked through a whole series of mini introductions for newcomers to the quirks of the City and Community. Always there with a friendly word and her favourite battered pork pie hat…although Max thought she talked too much and was scheming to palm her off on his friend Joshua at the 87c Warehouse. Sadly, Josh left before the scheme worked…Janner eventually dd move to her own apartment and has been there ever since, in between her employment stint with Fyre and Watters Detective Agency?
