GIMP really is a jack-of-all-trades program with endless utility plus virtually infinite add-ons, filters, scripts, etc. My humble tutorial barely scratches the surface of what one can do with GIMP. My goal here has been to share the absolute minimum know-how in order to make textures for 3DSV2, and I hope in that I have been successful @forestporn

These last two steps look like other areas where GIMP and paint.net differ, though there may be add-ins for paint that I've not founbd for integrating the normal maps.
